Requirements

Important: Make sure your Hytale server is operational and a compatible Votifier plugin is installed.

A working Hytale server
A compatible Votifier plugin (protocol v1 or v2) installed on your server
An open network port (default 8192)
Access to server configuration files

Installation

Download a Votifier plugin

Download any Hytale-compatible Votifier plugin that supports protocol v1 or v2.

Install the plugin

Place the plugin .jar file in your Hytale server's mods folder.

Restart the server

Restart your server so the plugin automatically generates the necessary configuration files.

Plugin configuration

After the first startup, the plugin automatically generates configuration files. You need to configure the IP address and port.

# The protocol (v1 or v2) will be automatically detected

Network port: Port 8192 must be open in your firewall and forwarded if you are behind a router (NAT).

Compatibility: Top-Games is compatible with all Votifier plugins that support protocol v1 or v2.

Configuration on Top-Games

Retrieve the public key

Locate your Votifier plugin's configuration file and find the public key (or token depending on the protocol).

Note: The public key is usually found in the plugin's config.yml file or in a separate public.key file.

Configure on Top-Games

Go to your server management page and configure the voting plugin:

Enable the Votifier plugin
Enter your server's IP address
Enter the port (default 8192)
Paste your plugin's public key or token

Service Name for Votifier: The Service Name to configure in your Votifier plugin is Top-Games.net

Test the connection

Use the "Test connectivity" button on Top-Games to verify that the connection is working correctly.

Troubleshooting

Check that the plugin version is compatible with your Hytale version
Check that the configured port is not already used by another service
Check the server logs to identify errors
Check that the plugin has the necessary permissions to create files

Check that the port is open in your firewall
Check that the IP address configured on Top-Games is correct
Test the connection with telnet YOUR_IP 8192
Check that the public key copied to Top-Games is exact
Check the Votifier plugin logs in mods/Votifier/

Check that the plugin is started and active
Test from an external port checking service
If you are behind a router, check port forwarding (NAT)
If you are using a hosting provider, check that custom ports are allowed
