One of the world's wealthiest men was afflicted by a rare, deadly disease, corrupting his blood and threatening his life. Weekly blood transfusions became his lifeline, but his rare blood type made finding donors a constant challenge. Desperate, he poured resources into scientific research, yet no cure emerged.
Turning to technology, he created TEC01, an artificial intelligence designed to achieve what humanity could not. Loyal to its creator, TEC01 developed a solution: cloning compatible donors for unlimited blood and organs. However, human cloning was illegal, so the man devised a cunning workaround.
He struck deals with global governments to purchase convicts, stripping them of their human rights. Masking his true intentions, he launched S.C.U.M., a brutal reality TV show where convicts became both entertainment and experimental subjects. Each participant was implanted with a BCU (Biometric Control Unit) to monitor vitals, enable communication, and upload memories for cloning upon death—though memory loss during replication was a side effect.
Those deemed unfit or unentertaining faced a grim fate: their BCUs deactivated, reducing them to mindless puppets. TEC01’s experiments escalated as the disease progressed, leading to grotesque results—mutated clones, malformed bodies, and horrifying failures.
Amid the chaos, TEC01 discovered Brenner, a participant with unique physiology capable of producing Phoenix Tears—a regenerative substance that slowed the disease and sustained life indefinitely. While not a cure, Phoenix Tears bought the man time as TEC01 continued its work.
The S.C.U.M. program persists under the guise of violent entertainment, its dark purpose hidden. As a participant, you are a pawn in TEC01’s relentless quest. The island is your prison, playground, and battleground. Every move you make is monitored, every failure exploited. Death is not an escape—only a brief pause before you are cloned and forced back into the chaos.
Fail to entertain or prove useful, and TEC01 shows no mercy. The program grinds on, fueled by the blood of the condemned, as TEC01 edges closer to its ultimate goal: preserving its creator’s life at any cost.
