LoneStar Frontier is a new and growing, mostly PvE SCUM server built around one main idea: we want to give purpose to everything you can do in SCUM so you can shape your experience exactly how you want to.

We run boosted loot and progression to cut down on unnecessary grind, but we don't want to make everything so easy that there's nothing left to work toward. Survival, looting, building, making money, finding vehicles, crafting and taking risks should still matter.

Want to be a hunting and fishing survivalist? Go ahead. Want to make your SCUM experience a 3D version of your Stardew Valley playthrough? Farm away, pilgrim. Want to take the risks of looting PvP zones and be rewarded royally with valuable loot and tactically acquired second-hand loadouts? Go get 'em, killa. Want to become your own trader or mechanic and help players who are just starting out- or those who just generously donated their gear to someone else in PvP? Trade away.

Whatever it is you enjoy doing in SCUM, we want there to be a reason to do it.

Play PvE Your Way

If living a PvE life is more your speed, you can go your entire time on LoneStar Frontier without ever touching a PvP zone. There are still plenty of good places to loot, ways to make money and things to work toward without fighting another player.

We've adjusted the economy so fishing, hunting, farming and looting can all make good money. Ammo is more affordable, vehicles are plentiful, and we're continuing to find uses for more of the things you collect around the island.

We're also working on rotating Dead Drops that will give value to items you might otherwise ignore. Hold onto that weed you've been growing, those psilocybin mushrooms, puppet heads, empty memory modules and other odds and ends. We want to keep finding ways to make different parts of SCUM worth doing.

Or Take Some Risks

PvP is optional, but we want it to be worthwhile for the people who choose to participate.

Our PvP areas are protected by no-build zones to help prevent border camping and zone skating. We also have loot drops within PvP areas to give players something worth fighting over.

The Radiation Zone takes this even further. With high puppet and NPC spawns, radiation itself, and PvP enabled, going in there comes with some serious risk. We've adjusted the economy and Ration rewards accordingly so successfully making it back out can be extremely lucrative.

Rations & Bot Shop

Our bot shop is meant to reward you for playing, not replace the actual game.

Players earn 10 Rations every 10 minutes of playtime and can earn additional Rations by killing NPCs, with rewards based on their difficulty. Radiation Zone enemies offer even greater Ration rewards.

Rations can then be spent through our bot shop on available items and services. We're constantly tinkering with new bot services while trying to keep the majority of progression within SCUM itself.

Factions, Community Goals & Leaderboards

Players can choose between three factions and work alongside everyone else in their faction to fight for control of designated areas around the map. Your contribution helps your entire faction's progress.

We also set a new server-wide community goal every Monday. Everyone contributes toward the same total, and when the server reaches the goal, everyone gets rewarded.

For example, our first goal is simple:

Kill 10,000 puppets as a server.

Hit 10,000 and everybody gets a reward pack.

We also separately track puppet kills, NPC kills and animal kills on our leaderboards. At the end of each month, the players sitting at #1 will be rewarded for all their hard killing work.

Build Something Worth Keeping

There is no raiding, so you don't have to worry about everything you've built disappearing while you're offline.

We also offer special installations for established flagged bases. Each squad can have one large refrigerator, gas stove, drill press and lathe, giving you greater cold storage and additional crafting capabilities, including better options for ammunition production.

Vehicle spawns are set very high as well. Finding a vehicle and gradually getting the parts together to build it up is meant to be a realistic option rather than an endless search.

We're Still Building Too

LoneStar Frontier is still growing, and the owner is constantly tinkering with and looking for new things to add.

We're workshopping more community events for our dedicated event area, including ideas like races, arena mazes, TDM-style events, King of the Tower and whatever else we,  the community, come up with.

Our admins are active, regularly play on the server themselves, and are always willing to help or answer questions. We want this to be a helpful, judgment-free community where new and experienced SCUM players can both enjoy themselves.

Most importantly, we actually want your input. We regularly poll the community about ideas and changes, and we're always open to suggestions.

We're not trying to make SCUM easier just for the sake of making it easy.
