A private SCUM server is a multiplayer server hosted by players or a community, independent from the official servers. The admin sets custom rules, loot rates, difficulty and events. These servers deliver varied experiences, often more personalised than the official matches run by the game studio itself.
Launch SCUM on PC, open the built-in server browser, then filter by name, region or ping. Select the server you want and use the connect button to start playing. Add your favourite servers to your favourites so you can find them quickly at the start of every session.
On PvP servers, player-versus-player fights are allowed and tension stays high. On PvE servers, the focus is survival against the environment and NPCs, with no forced combat between players. On RP (roleplay) servers, everyone plays a character with a backstory. Choose the style you prefer most.
Official servers are run by the studio Gamepires with standard settings and classic progression. Private servers, managed by the community, let admins change loot, difficulty, events and rules. They often provide a more flexible, social or roleplay-focused experience than the official ones do.
Yes, SCUM is a paid game: you must own a copy on Steam to join any server. Since its 1.0 launch, the game is no longer in early access but remains available on PC only. There is no free version and no permanent trial available.

Best Server for me to play Scum. Its the perfect mix between PvP and PvE. The Admins are good too, no Abuse or something. It make fun to play here for longtime.
